Un grupo de politicos y de periodistas decide tomar cartas en el asunto e investigar los hechos. Entre ellos se encuentra la reportera Julie Baker cuyos padres fueron misioneros en Colombia. Su investigacion no solo la lleva a ser secuestrada por las FARC, sino tambien a tener que enfrentar su doloroso pasado.
