- An excellent read. Retreat material. by Traci on 12/1/2015
Every time I read a Holley Gerth book, I think how I’d like to take her words on a retreat. She gives you so much to think about. There are quizzes and questions throughout each chapter. In this book, she’s talking about the dreams God gives each one of us.
She starts out by walking us through how we can know if the dream comes from God. Does it fit your strength? Do you have skills and experiences that prepared you for this particular dream? Is it hard for you to think about anything else sometimes?
In case you’re still wondering if it’s a God-sized dream, she reminds us what we can do with fear, failure and those pesky feelings of unworthiness. If the dream’s still there after you’ve dealt with all these things, you’re probably onto something God-sized.
Further, she gives us examples of folks who have chased their God-sized dreams. In the Bible; David, Saul turned Paul and Moses. In the back of this book, women like Kristen Welch, Bonnie Gray and Kristen Strong.
An excellent read. It will motivate its readers to stop thinking about that one dream you can’t get out of your head, and set about doing it.
