My 9 year-old son loves this book. It's self-guiding so he feels independent while he learns about his friend Jesus. He is excited to read and write his responses int he book that he often comes to tell us about what he learned. He loves that the author uses words that he thinks are cool like epic. He likes reading it as well because it says tween and he likes to feel like a big kid.
