Rose Publishing has put together an extremely well organized pamphlet on the Book of Revelation. The first thing that struck me as impressive was how well the pamphlet is organized, but organization can be meaningless if the content of the material is lacking.
So, what about the content of the pamphlet?
I have to say, the amount of detail that is in this pamphlet really shocked me. Each of the four dominate interpretations (Futurist, Preterist, Historical, and Idealist) of the book Revelation are discussed, and it is explained what each view thinks about the Book of Revelation. It would be one thing to simply speak broadly of what each says about Revelation, but Rose Publishing took it a step further. They broke down sections of Revelation, and show how each viewpoint interprets that particular section.
This pamphlet also explains terms that are used in the Book of Revelation. I think this pamphlet would be excellent for anyone looking at gaining a good picture of how the Book of Revelation has been interpreted throughout church history. This pamphlet is simple enough to be a great resource for the average layperson simply looking to gain a good grasp of Revelation, and yet, detailed enough to be beneficial for someone looking to possibly teach a class on Revelation.
Rose Publishing provided me with an advanced reader copy.
