- GOD WILL HOLD ONTO YOU AND ME by Joyful334209 on 9/22/2016
This is courageous, enchanting, powerful, tender, and vivacious book. It includes GOD at every turn and so as it should be. This is three stories in one, about a wedding, and that what makes it so fascinating. It is a powerful book on love, hurt, and healing. A resurgence of love with the help of the LORD. They have been hurt and there needs to be trust again for Charlotte, the baker and Mom, and Nate. Then there is Amelia , the florist, who while snooping on, who? I shall not tell because you should get the book because it is interesting, she gets into a fender bender and the man she hits is Nate. Ante becomes a confidant of Amelia and something weird happens. Then the third story is about Holly, Brides side and Josh groom's side, also exes. Holly broke things off and Josh never knew why and Holly did not and does not want him to know, but will he find out and if he does what will happen if he does? Will the book end like you think it does or can it end fantastically? A Big surprise? Go Buy the Book and find out.
- As Delicious as Wedding Cake without the Calories!!! by Suzie on 8/15/2016
I always love novellas. They’re quick little reads when I’m not in the mood to spend a few hours on a book. And I love the short journey to the HEA at the end. To Have and To Hold (available everywhere August 30, 2016), takes three wedding novellas from three of my favorite authors and puts them all together in one place.
In “Love Takes the Cake,” Betsy St. Amant writes about Charlotte Cantrell, single mother and baker who is still trying to atone for the sins of her past. But is she destined to make the same mistake twice?
Katie Ganshert’s “The Perfect Arrangement” combines a little You’ve Got Mail with some humorous mix-ups that will have readers rooting for Amelia Woods to find peace in the midst of her sometimes chaotic life.
Finally, Becky Wade brings two high-school sweethearts together in “Love in the Details.” Because the boy-and-girl-break-up-only-to-come-back-together-again-years-later stories, this one was my favorite of the three in this collection. Eight years ago, Holly Morgan made a decision that she’s regretted since. She broke up with Josh Bowen. Now he’s a successful businessman who’s back in town to help a friend prepare for his wedding. Josh’s request that she help him find a rehearsal dinner venue gives her the opportunity to find the one thing she wants from him now: closure. But as they spend time together, Holly fears losing her heart to the same man again. Sometimes God’s plan is not ours but He always gives us our heart’s desires.
Each of these stories were filled with a little lesson of faith and the hope of a better future full of love. Don’t miss this collection.
