The Great Canoe Fish
Does the Great Canoe Fish actually exist? Or is he a two hundred-year-old canoe-size legend? The Sugar Creek Gang packs their fishing gear and sleeping bags for a canoe trip to find out. But they're not alone - Dragonfly spills the beans to the local town bullies who follow the gang in hopes of beating them at the catch. A gift from Old Man Paddler gives the gang an advantage, but the bullies nearly shatter the gang's hopes.
Race Against Nightfall
Finally, the first day of Sugar Creek's highly anticipated revival celebration arrives! The gang anticipates the upcoming evening's events together with a swim in the creek - until the bullies show up. After a water scuffle, Big Bob Till tips off the gang to the possibility that the celebration might be in great jeopardy. Upon arrival at the revival, the gang members don their thinking caps and scour the area searching for clues.
The Sugar Creek Gang races through the swamp only to stumble upon previously unexplored territory that leads them right into the middle of a mystery! And as if the puzzling new discoveries aren't enough, Poetry's lamb causes mischief in the schoolhouse and gets everyone into hot water with Miss Lily. When things calm down, the gang plans an overnight stay in a cave near the cemetery, but Tom Till has been keeping a secret that is sure to shake things up.
The Sugar Creek Gang suddenly become the opposite of teacher's pets when a new substitute, Mr. Black, comes to town. A wrongful accusation gets Bill into trouble with his parents and creates more questions than answers.
