- A Movie That Will Touch Your Heart by Lisa on 1/27/2015
It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. The Good Book is a movie full of moving pictures that are priceless. Initially I didn't realize this movie had no spoken words, only a soundtrack and dramatic acting, but after watching it I understood that no spoken words were even necessary. The Good Book follows the path of a small Bible through the lives of many people. Along its way, its words bring great comfort to those who open the Bible and let God into their lives. I found both grief and joy in this film -- grief for those whose lives were struck by tragedy and grief for those who walked away from the joy the Bible contains. I also found great joy in watching the stories that were lifted up even in the face of tragedy. I've never been very fond of silent films, but this one is a wonderful story that needs no words. I truly enjoyed watching The Good Book.
