- A good conversation starter or group-study book by Danielle on 11/13/2015
Here’s a book I wish I’d have had as a young adult. I didn’t know that I could trust God with every aspect of my life and that the longing of my heart to find a husband was not going to be met by my seeking a “good guy” to date. I think this book would make a good group-study book where honest conversations can be had. There were a few things that I was not keen on. There is no guarantee that we will all find a spouse or that if we do, we’ll live happily ever after. I don’t believe there’s a perfect person for all of us because, there are no perfect people. Marriage is not about finding Mr. or Mrs. Right, it’s about finding someone who shares common values, goals and desires and that God says yes to. Then, there’s a working out of your salvation that occurs as you live with someone who isn’t perfect.
That said, I believe this book is an amazing resource and for those living at home it’s a great place for parents and youth to come together, read and discuss where we should be putting out hopes and dreams – on Jesus, not man. Because in the end, when our focus is on God we can see more clearly the truth behind finding “Mr. Right.”
- Wish I had this when I was Younger! by Jeanette on 9/16/2015
I just had the opportunity to read the new book by Kyle and Kelsey Kupecky - The Chase. I wish I had this book when I was younger. Each chapter had the girl and boy's view of the subject matter. I loved the message and the way it was presented. This is a must read and I highly recommend it to anyone 12 and older. They were very sensitive to their readers and they certainly didn't chastise anyone who may have already made an error in judgment. I would to see this book given to youth groups for a book study.
- So Encouraging! by Claudia on 9/1/2015
I couldn't have asked for a better book for young ladies! Kyle and Kelsey Kupecky share real life (their lives) stories with readers to encourage them to CHASE after God first and not man. This book is truthfully and beautifully written in a way thats easy to understand and relate to. I am encouraged and motivated after reading this book to not be focused on my future spouse but instead on God. He already has a plan for my life and I (and all of us young ladies) need to trust him with whatever he has in store for us for our futures. I highly recommend this book to all young ladies out there. Single, dating, attached, married; I believe this book will touch you all in different ways. If I could give this book more than 5/5, I would but alas! :)
- A MUST read for all girls!!!! by MSprague on 9/1/2015
The Chase is a truly wonderful book and I believe all single girls need to read this book. There are so many wrong examples being set in this world and everyday people fall for them. However in this book Kyle and Kelsey are doing the opposite. They let girls know it’s okay to be different. It’s okay to have high standards and it’s better to wait for God’s best instead of settling for what’s plainly in front of us. In this book Kyle and Kelsey share several relatable stories about things that happened in their lives as well as some of their friends’. All of these stories encourage girls to respect, both themselves and their future husband. Through out the entire book there is one common theme. We should chase God first, above anything and everything. The book also points out that we should trust God with our happily ever after, not just in our relationships, but with our whole life. I would definitely recommend this book to all single girls, but I believe even married women could learn from it as well. The Chase truly is a special book. I learned so much from it and you will too!
