- Inspires Me to Receive, Not Achieve by Renee on 3/16/2015
The Beauty of Grace is a lovely book, filled with inspiring stories from my favorite writers. It is an invitation to rest in God's unconditional love and acceptance and a challenge to meet His outstretched hand with opened palms, learning to trust and follow. I highly recommend and thank Revell for providing a copy in exchange for my review. My encouragement to readers to enjoy The Beauty of Grace is my own, from my heart.
- Beautiful Grace by Robin on 2/27/2015
I received a book from Revell called The Beauty Of Grace: Stories of God's Love from Today's Most Popular Writers. The editor/photographer for this book is Dawn Camp, and the foreword was written by Holley Gerth. This book has short stories by many authors about how they find God in their daily struggles. I enjoyed reading each story because it shows just how human we are, and how we all struggle with similar issues. No one is perfect and we are all going to go through rough times in our lives. The best thing to do is to find God in those struggles. Yes, I know, it is easier said then done a lot of the times. You know why? Because we let ourselves get in the way of finding him. I think this book is a great way of reassuring myself that there is hope, these authors have found that hope in their struggles. Why can't I? Also God forgives me if I mess up and he has never given up hope on me. He just sits there patiently waiting for me to get up, brush myself off, and try again. I believe this book is great if you are looking for some inspirational stories. The cover is beautiful to look at and so are the pictures that are on the inside of this book. If this type of book is your style of reading, then it is a must you read this book.

Within these stories you will also find God’s beauty and grace illustrated with Dawn Camp’s photography.
The gorgeous cover alone makes this a great coffee table book inspiring conversations for years to come. The easy-to-read layout, beautiful typography, and moving words will entice you to read through it in one day. Or you might choose to savor it over time, only reading one story a day as a devotional.
I prefer reading most books on my kindle, but this is one you will definitely want the hardback to appreciate the true beauty of it. So run, don't walk, to your nearest bookstore. And while you're there, be sure to pick up a few extras for your girlfriends!
Check out Dawn's site: http://myhomesweethomeonline.net/book/ where you can download an excerpt from her book. You will also find gorgeous images to help share encouragement (like the one below) on social media.
I received a free copy of “The Beauty of Grace” from Revell in exchange for a review. These opinions are mine.
- A New Favorite by Randi on 2/16/2015
When I first heard about this book, I knew I needed to get my hands on it. Holley Gerth, Lisa-Jo Baker, Ann Voskamp...these women are some of my favorite bloggers and authors, and contributors to one of my favorite blogs- (in)courage! They were always providing that little dose of inspiration to my email when I needed it. This book is everything I love about (in)courage in an easy to read book format! They cover a variety of topics with short stories from all of these wonderful ladies- lending a variety of voices and life experiences. The stunning photographs throughout made it as beautiful to look at as it was to read! Definitely a great addition to your book collection!
- Love it!! by Kimberly on 2/4/2015
This book was a timely arrival and page after page brought much sought after relief. Grace when I had not expected it. I am finding more and more that that when I let my expectations go, when I give myself the kindness and forgiveness I would offer another in my shoes, my heart opens wide to the work He is doing in me. That is grace. Sometimes it may require an extra little dose of it before bed. A reminder before I close my eyes that He is with me. Never sleeping. And these pages and beautiful words remind me I am not alone and not the only one.
