When young Nehemiah must travel the long caravan road to Jerusalem, he is charged with an unusual mission: to carry a mysterious object back to the holy city of Jerusalem - an object whose reappearance heralds the Messiah's arrival. Nehemiah arrives in Jerusalem just as the final events of Jesus' earthly ministry are coming to a climax: the Feast of Dedication, the Triumphal Entry, the last cleansing of the Temple and culminating at the Last Supper in the Upper Room.
In Take This Cup, part of the Jerusalem Chronicles from authors Bodie and Brock Thoene, only Nehemiah understands the true sacrifice that is to come as he makes the cup worthy of his Savior.

TAKE THIS CUP
Bodie and Brock Thoene
Nehemiah means "Cup Bearer", he is a young boy that grows up in the time of Christ. He witnesses bandits attaching his parents, he flees with his teacher to the Mountain caves, there they find the cup of the covenant the same cup that Joseph and Abraham had.
Nehemiah feels he is to deliver this cup to "The King" after hearing the winds whisper he is to be "cup bearer to the King". He's journey to Jerusalem has dangers along the way with bandits following him yet this little one knew his destination and he pursued it, he becomes friends of orphans.
I found out this book is the second book (darn) but it still stands well on it's own. Still wish I could have read the first one.
From page one it captured me, although it is a Fiction book it still is very good and it intertwines meeting Jesus with links to references to the Bible which is great!!
Many stories have been told about "The Cup of Christ", The Holly Grail. I am glad to be able to read this book even though it is a Fiction story, it is still a good read on the cup of Christ and the links in the Bible is helpful too.
I have never read a book by Bodie and Brock Thorne or I don't remember. This is a very good Fiction story and should be remember while reading it that it is just fiction. Grab it, read it the links that send you to the Bible is a great touch.
HAPPY READING !!!!
I received this beautiful book free from BookLook for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just honest. The opinions I have expressed are entirely my own and no one else's.
