I listened to a few clips from their "Beauty from Pain" CD and bought it. The message in their music is targeted to tween girls, which I didn't know at the time but I enjoy it just the same. My daughter and her friend love it and I'm comforted in knowing that the lyrics are positive. When I found out about the June 23rd release of "Rock What You Got", I placed my pre-order with Family Christian Stores and received it June 24th. This release is more of the hard hitting sounds I was hoping for like Beauty from Pain's "Anthem" and "One Girl Revolution". It definitely rocks! If you're hoping for more of an Avril Lavigne sound like Beauty from Pain's "Bowling Ball" as a reviewer on another music website cited you WILL be disappointed. Superchick's message continues to be positive and the indirect references to God are more obvious than "Beauty from Pain". However, if you need songs with "God" and "Jesus" mentioned throughout then look elsewhere. I like the fact that it is a bit more up bet but I do not think that it is there best album. I like more of the song that are personal and have more of a life stories to them. Did you find this review helpful? | Surprised by Superchick! - 6/26/2008I have to admit, I have not been a very big fan of Superchick in the past, but Rock What You Got surprised me! They really did rock what they've got on this album! If you haven't been a fan of Superchick in the past I still recommend giving this album a listen. The band nailed it on this one! The production on Rock What You Got is really, really good! I am seriously impressed. The songs are very strong. I have always liked SC's ballads the best, and this album is no exception.
