Michael Steel (Randy Travis) is ten days from the biggest night of his life—He’s the first Christian actor nominated for Best Actor at the Academy Awards. Just when it seems that he has survived persecution and being blacklisted for his faith, he becomes the subject of a wager between God and Satan. Claiming that no one today is living the Sermon on the Mount, Satan has chosen Michael—a modern day Job—to prove his point in a wager with God. Michael has now been cast as the lead character in a supernatural drama between good and evil. Will he fall for Satan’s temptations or live out the teachings of Christ, no matter the consequences?

The Wager is an awesome movie, and I really enjoyed watching it. It's kind of between the Sermon on the Mount and Job.

You need to pay close attention to the movie, but it is good. It is fine Christian entertainment, even though the story isn't quite what is expected. I think Randy is a good actor. He portrays his character well. I have met him in real life and he seems to be a quiet man, yet he comes across on screen as in real life. I will buy other movies that come out. He walks the talk, and that is most important.

I did not enjoy this movie at all and would not recommend it to anyone. I waited so long for it to be out and then to be so dissappointed. I still like Randy Travis though.
