Dove Foundation ReviewCustomer ReviewsWrite your own review of this item.Average Rating: I cried (good tears) throughout this whole movie. Afterward, I prayed that someday God would give me the opportunity to help someone as much as Leigh Ann helped Michael Oher. This movies is probably not for younger children (PG 13) because it gives a real picture of the harsh background that Michael came from. However, the rough scenes are not gratuitous. Showing the pain of Michael Oher's background only serves to emphasize the renewing and transforming power of God. It is a redemption story that teaches how God's love, when put into action by us, can change a life forever. There should be more main stream movies like this! I highly recommend it. 68 out of 134 visitors found this review helpful. Did you find this review helpful? This movie is an aspiring movie of how a Christian family took care of an orphan boy who was abandoned and let down by the system. Rated PG-13 for one scene involving brief violence, drug and sexual references, and one scene with moderate profanity. "A PG-13 rating is a sterner warning by the Rating Board to parents to determine whether their children under age 13 should view the motion picture." Read the Dove Foundation Review to see if this is a movie you would like to see. I laughed out loud; I cried; I remembered why I became a teacher or troubled youth. I was inspired to continue to encourage and teach children who have had difficult beginnings. 146 out of 289 visitors found this review helpful. Did you find this review helpful? This is not a family friendly movie, if you seek to fight for holiness in your life be careful about showing this to your family. Crude or Profane Language - Leigh Anne does not approve of swearing. "Don’t use the a-word," she tells her husband. But she didn’t edit the screenplay for The Blind Side. Onscreen, we still hear "a‑‑" a half-dozen times, "b‑‑ch" and "h‑‑‑" four or five times each, "p‑‑‑" once and "d‑‑n" two or three times. God’s name is misused a handful of times. "T‑t" is said a couple of times. The racial slur "n-gger" is vocalized once by one of the thugs. 151 out of 303 visitors found this review helpful. Did you find this review helpful?
