This audio bible has served immeasurably. It is nice and soothing for the children to listen to (we're in the OT right now, so things may pick up in the NT) and it serves as a great accessory and sometimes substitute of our reading and re-reading the bible to our children (they've gone through about 5 kids bibles in full length for ages 5-12 years of age). They love it. We love it. However, from the excerpts I have heard, it doesn't seem to be as dramatic as I hoped and I haven't heard any sound effects. Still, I purchased this with a 50% off coupon from Family Christian Stores and it was MORE THAN WORTH what we paid! I am thinking of picking up a copy for a friend of mine. Not sure yet if it will be this one or the other one i mentioned (which has various actors doing the drama/voices). But it's an awesome thing to have! I am grateful to God for the ability to have it! PS: Be careful with the shipping addresses when you order. Sometimes things may get messed up. Be sure to confirm.
