Football superstar Reggie Knox (Reggie White) retires at the height of his sporting career when a young child is killed in a convenience store robbery. In his new job, Reggie becomes a coach and 10th grade history teacher at a rough inner city high school.

Reggie soon discovers that Mr. Portola (The Giant), a neighborhood gangster, has been using the students from the school in his local crime ring. This illegal activity spirals to the point that a young football player is kidnapped, and it's up to Reggie to get him back safely. A wild chase pits Reggie against Portola, while the life of a 16-year-old boy hangs in the balance between good and evil.

Taking a lesson from Jesus' "Parable of the Lost Sheep," Reggie's Prayer shows everyone that one child's salvation supersedes any material possession.
