- Teach Kids To Pray!! by Randi on 2/8/2016
In many ways, this is very much the kid version of The Battle Plan for Prayer. Like the popular adult War Room companion book, it too gives us the what, the how and the whys of prayer, but in a much shorter, much more kid friendly package. It teaches kids why they should pray, what they should pray for, how they should pray...and bible references to back it all up! This is not the book for younger kids- probably best for ages 8-12, give or take depending on your child, and truly helps them to get a better understanding of all things prayer. And to put it into practice offers a convenient prayer journal so that they can write out their prayer requests and even track how God has answered. As a Christian mom, I find teaching my kids about prayer to be one of the most important things I can teach them, but I often find myself at a loss on how to explain it to them in a way that makes sense. I know why I pray, I know how I pray, but teaching that to them, without making them think that they must do it MY way? That is where I find myself lost, but this books helps me to explain it to them, and is fun for them too. This is truly a great resource for all Christian Kids and I highly recommend it to all!

- Good Devotional for Tweens by Seasons of Opportunities on 9/6/2015
I really like this book. It's hard back cover with some very beautifully illustrated pictures. After a brief introduction encouraging kids to pray, there are ten chapters on prayer covering things such as -what, where, when, and why, about prayer. Does God hear me? Do my prayers matter? All written on a level an 8-12 year old can understand. Each devotional includes a Bible verse, along with the devotion about prayer. At then end of each day and section with thoughts and prayer prompts as well as encouragement to pray.
The back of the book has essential information on how to put your prayer to work. It includes a prayer journal where kids can keep track of their prayers and answers to prayer. It also includes a page on salvation and another on the Lord's prayer. There are at least 20 pages to journal on, with prayer prompts such as making a list of family members, friends, and others who need prayer to faith like a mustard seed, spiritual growth and things they are thankful for. This book ties in with the War Room movie coming out this month. (August) And includes an explanation of the War Room logo in the back.
I would recommend this book! My ten year old son has begun using it some during his daily devotions. Since he is used to reading a little more than this book has per devotion - most of them are short, he uses it to accompany his other devotional book. I am excited about what he will be learning about prayer through the use of this book.
I was blessed with this book in exchange for an honest review.
