Peter is used to seeing his mom pray in her special prayer room, and now he wants to find a place of his own. Can you help Peter find his perfect prayer place? There's lots of fun as Peter looks and looks for the right spot, but in the end, he learns that although it's great to have a special place to be alone with God and pray, God hears you no matter where you are—under, up, or in between!
Peter's Perfect Prayer Place is a companion book to the movie War Room, which teaches young readers an important lesson about talking to God. The fold-out prayer chart and stickers in the back of the book will let them track their prayers as well as God's answers.

- Love this Book! by Randi on 2/8/2016
While every other companion book I have seen for War Room has been more of a guide- a how to pray- this one is simply a story! And it's a very cute story! Throughout the book, we follow Peter as he tries to find the ideal spot to pray, where God can hear him best. I love that it acknowledges that it is nice to find that quiet spot and make time just for prayer- even for kids- but still reminds them that in the end, God will hear them wherever they may be. It is beautifully written and beautifully illustrated, and even includes a fun poster for your little one to track their prayers! Prayer is such an important thing to teach our children, and so often seems to start with those simple prayers that all kids memorize. "Thank you God for this food.", etc. These prayers are great and definitely an easy way to begin our children's prayer lives, but I love that this book really shows that praying isn't just those memorized verses, but truly is a conversation with God, no matter where you are or what you say. This is truly a must add to your child's book collection- it's adorable, and really teaches a valuable lesson too!

- Review from Rambles of a SAHM by Fitzysmom on 9/9/2015
Prayer is such an important part of our lives as Christians. Teaching our little ones to make it a part of their daily lives is a responsibility that we as parents should take to heart. In Peter's Perfect Place the Kendrick brothers have put together an adorable story about a little boy named Peter and his pursuit of the perfect place to pray.
Little Peter searches high and low to find the one place that will allow him to speak to God. Each place he comes up with seems to have some drawback. In the end he comes to realize that no matter where he is God is there too and anywhere he chooses to pray is the perfect place.
This book is a companion piece to the new movie War Room. The story is written in rhyming form and the illustrations are beautiful. What I like about it the most is that it has a pull out chart and stickers that will allow your child to record their prayers and God's answers. The book was designed with the preschooler in mind but it would make a nice read aloud for slightly older siblings as well.
I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.
