Life often sends hard things our way: illness, financial struggles, broken relationships, and so many kinds of loss. Sometimes we can't imagine a way forward. How do we keep going when everything is going wrong?

Rachel Wojo has learned that hope rises to greet us when we find the strength to take One More Step. Like you, Rachel has faced experiences that crushed her dreams of the perfect life: a failing marriage, a daughter's heartbreaking diagnosis, and more. In One More Step, she transparently shares her pain and empathizes with yours, then points you to the path of God's Word, where you'll find hope to carry you forward.

Rachel identifies the reasons you may tempted to quit and shows you where to find the courage to keep going, one step at a time. You're not alone. So don't give up. God won't let you down. That's a promise.

Great book for practical advice to help you take one more step when life seems impossible. by Amanda on 11/6/2015

This book is a must read for anyone going through a really rough time. If taking the next step seems impossible, you’ll find encouragement and hope within the pages. The author’s honesty in this book is so refreshing. She isn’t afraid to say she was angry at God when life crashed down around her. Or that each step was difficult!

My favorite chapter was Stop Watering the Weeds. Like the author, I find it easy to spiral down into negativity. This chapter really gave me tools to deal with those thoughts. The truth is that they are going to come, but I can combat them with scripture and tips from this chapter.

I like that this book concludes each chapter with a Pillar of Truth and a Stepping Stone. The Pillar of Truth to Lean On, contains verses the author depended on to make it ‘one more step’. My mirror is now covered in sticky notes with my favorites to serve as reminders of the steps that I’m currently struggling with most. The Stepping Stone section is meant to help the reader work through the material presented in the chapter, plan to have a journal or notebook to jot notes from this section, or you’ll get the link to print a companion journal inside the book.

If you need the reminder that God won’t let you down and you don’t know how to take one more step this book is for you!

*I was provided with a free copy of this book for review, the thoughts above are completely my own!
