Examines the relevant issues to todays adolescents and teenagers. Practical advice for teens to resist temptation and keep themselves pure. Explains the physical and emotional changes that young people go through in concise and easy-to-understand language. Essential reading for parents and adolescents approaching their teenage years. Kids in today's world encounter a multitude of issues that are totally different from those their parents had to face as teenagers. They are faced with the same confusing emotional and physical changes adolescents have always had to face, but in a world that is much more depraved and corrupt than that of their parents. Dr. Nicholas Comninellis and Joe White of Kanakuk Kamps give an appropriate and important road map to adolescence in this exciting new book. They provide sensitive insights for teens on issues such as dealing with crazy emotions, sexual purity, false friends, and ungodly entertainment. With years of experience in dealing with the issues adolescents face through Kanakuk Kamps, the authors give an excellent guide for kids to maintain a godly lifestyle through their teenage years. A valuable guide, Countdown to Adolescence is a must-read for parents and kids alike, presented in a NASA-style countdown format. Parents will find the wisdom shared in this book a great starting point for discussions with their children, and an excellent opportunity to instill biblical principles at this crucial time.
