- How to be present and savor where you are. by Dana on 10/4/2015
I needed to read this book. I've been here at home, longing for something, for years. This book helps me realize (which I really new already but needed to hear again) that there is beauty and meaning and romance and fun and wonderfulness here at home with the husband, kids, job, elderly parents, pets, church family and friends. This is a life I have here. It's not in an "exotic" locale according to me because I grew up here, but it might be exotic and fascinating to someone from the other side of the world. This book helped me to remember to look for the beauty, make it fun and be happier with what I have, where I am. The book has some really good ideas for making everyday life fun, like the way the author and her family went on a hunt in their own hometown for the best croissant and went dancing in the living room. Life is good. This book helps you realize that all over again.
- What are you longing for? by Kris D on 8/4/2015
This book was written with such transparency into what a real mom and wife longs for. We all have dreams of going places and having amazing adventures. The reality is that money can get tight and we start longing for more. Sarah Mae has written this book that helps us think about how we can be content with the life we currently live. She encourages us to take life to the next level and bring "Paris" to us. A couple of quotes that I loved most include: "God cares about our dreams, because He cares about us." and "We can't always change our circumstances, but we can choose our perspective."
