Lead Me Home is a fictional story which focuses mainly on the lives of 4 individuals ( A pastor, a pastor’s daughter, a mother, and a son with a gift for music) facing loss, change, disappointments, heartaches, and the others who are entangled in the decisions which they must now make. When something looks like it has reached its end, is it really the end or the beginning of something new? God does not always show us the plan as it is played out, the reasons for it, or the result from it. By trusting in God and leaning on Him we all can find our way home.
Lead Me Home takes place in a small country town with everyone facing the hardships and struggles which often come. Local businesses and organizations are passed by for the new bigger and better development of technology and ideas. As I became immersed into the world of the main characters from Lead Me Home, I felt their tiredness and pain; everyday being a constant struggle to get through. It taught me to trust in God’s plan even though I cannot see it and to not focus on the negatives that I see, but rather focus on the positives that can be right around the corner.
“…all I’m saying is you can’t see God if you’re too busy looking at yourself.” (Sorrells, 2016,p.221)
I recommend Lead Me Home and may it lead you home as well.
