Many of us believe that in order to please God, we have to be perfect. It’s an easy lie to buy into. In a culture that emphasizes accomplishment and ever-higher goals, we feel driven to do more, achieve more, be more. And we get caught up in the unforgiving treadmill of self-imposed rules, believing that we should, we need to, we must. The result? Anger, frustration, and anxiety that keep us far away from the life of peace that Jesus promised.
Having suffered from living in this trap, Sandra one day prayed in desperation for God's help. His answer set her on a life-changing journey to discover the riches of His grace. Inside, Sandra shares how she left behind her burden of anxiety and fear and shows you how to experience for yourself the freedom of trusting solely in the perfecting power of God’s grace.

- Great Book, Very Insightful by Jamie on 10/27/2015
I really enjoyed reading this book, I Tried Until I Almost Died. I was immediately swept up in Sandra's life and how she was struggling to be perfect in every area on her own. I felt that Sandra was very easy to relate to and although I don't suffer from the same issues as she did, I felt her story impacted me. It was wonderful to see how God touched her heart and changed her into the person He wanted her to be. I think this book can really help those who struggle with anxiety and perfectionism. I felt that her journey is something that many people struggle with on some level. I definitely recommend this book to people who are trying to do it all and be it all for everyone in their life and for those who have anxiety issues.
