- This is a good book to keep on hand. by Linda on 4/16/2016
In 2006, my esophagus tore. This caused septic shock and peritonitis. The doctors put me in an induced coma for 30 days and told my husband to go ahead and make funeral arrangements since there was a single digit survival rate in cases like this. I had a very strong prayer team behind me and survived the 30 days. When I awoke, I couldn’t talk but after a while I could read. My husband brought me Dodie Osteen’s Healing scriptures booklet and I read it every time I had the strength. I was in ICU for 30 days. I was in Recovery for 30 days then in Rehab for an additional 30 days. I spent that last 60 days and a month after I got home reading the booklet every day. I credit the booklet with giving me what I needed to connect myself to the healing power of God. It was there all the time but I am pretty sure if I had not been shown how to access it, I would not have survived. It’s a good book. You might want to keep it on hand for when you need it or maybe read it to keep from needing some of the more drastic measures.
