One summer, long ago, a little girl and a little boy were brought together by a very special dog. They played all summer long - it was puppy love. Then the summer ended and they never saw each other again…
Years later, when her parents retire and decide to sell their house, Jessica, recently widowed, decides to start over, move back home with her son, and buy her parents' house as a Christmas surprise. However, things don't go as planned when she discovers that her parents have already sold the house to a man named Michael.
With the help of her family, some luck and a very special dog, Jessica might realize the blessings in a plan gone awry… and maybe even reclaim that special summer. A Golden Christmas: A Tail of Puppy Love is a heart-warming story of the magic that can happen when we least expect it.

- Nice for Holidays by Family Friendly on 12/11/12
I liked the movie. I did not get any innuendoes at all. We live in a society that is so overly secular and sexualized no wonder.
It is a Hallmark B movie that is meant to entertain. No message really. I was not looking for that.
- Slow and too many innuendoes for us. by ELLIE-MAY on 12/2/12
I thought this would be a great family movie, but it wasn't. It was a bit too slow for my kids and they kept being distracted. Truth be told it was a pretty slow movie, a lot of dialog and not much action. The family in the movie were very rude to each other. Then there were the innuendos. One sister asks if the other had taken a guy "into the woods" like previous boyfriends, and even asks if she "did it" with the boy she liked when she was 9!!! I got this movie because I wanted something clean and fun for my family and this was a disappointment. There are secular christmas movies that are a lot more uplifting than this was. We won't be watching this again.
