An Inspiration - A must read! by B.L.M. on 1/25/2013
Rating

This memoir of struggle and redemption is one of the best books of the year. Lomong's story, being stolen at six years old to become a child soldier, to struggling to adapt to American culture, and finally finding success on track, is one that will leave you in awe long after you finish the last page. It is even better than fiction because it is all true! It redefines what is possible though hard work, dedication, and a little faith.

Spoken in his own words, Lopez's playful spirit shines through even the darkest hours of his tale. It is perfect for all audiences! It completely redefined the way I approach struggle and is much more a story of triumph than about track and field. It is a book centered around an amazing athlete - a two time Olympian - but ultimately this is a tale that has changed the way I live my life. I am compelled to action and will be a life-long supporter of Lomong and the great work his does on and off the track.

Bravo Lopez! Keep inspiring the world! GO USA!!
