- Definite Must Read by Crsipy on 11/26/12
I have read this author's other books and really enjoyed those, but this was the best by far. The author portrayed Adam Brown with all his warts and failings and yet showed how God worked in his life and made him into someone who can inspire us and be a hero (though Adam would never call himself one). The language is not always the best, but it is the real way the actual people spoke in real situations and not just gratuitous. The author is not a believer, but he showed Adam's faith as real and an essential part of him. The author had an open mind and was inspired to take another look at his own faith after researching for this book. Check out the interview with the author and Adam Brown's family on Huckabee (look on youtube).
- Worth the read by Dave on 8/6/12
Terrific book -- as the story says, don't start at BUDS -- go back further. This young man's journey through dark times is worth reading -- every parent with teenage kids should pick this up. But it's more than that -- it's an inspirational story about a confused teenager coming out of the dark and showing his friends and the world an exceptional but humble young man.
- " Fearless " Inspiring and heart-breaking. by Mikey on 6/26/12
An amazing true-life story about a true American Patriot. I could not put this book down.
- ABSOLUTE MUST READ by Brent on 5/24/12
This is not a typical "military book". This is a true story about tribulations, perseverance, redemption, faith and forgiveness. This book answers the age old question of "why does God allow bad things to happen?". Throughout Adam's life, many people were brought closer to God and gave their lives to Christ because of Adam. Whether it was the negative things in his life that brought them closer or the positive things, many people were forced to refocus their lives toward Christ. In his death, Adam's story has inspired hundreds to refocus their lives and his story continues to inspire others everyday.
As a SEAL, Adam saved countless lives through his direct action in the battle against evil. Through his story, Adam has saved countless souls for eternity.
