In God's Not Dead, college freshman and devout Christian Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper) finds his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo). Radisson begins class by informing students that they will need to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on that first day, or face a failing grade. As other students in the class begin scribbling the words "God Is Dead" on pieces of paper as instructed, Josh find himself at a crossroads, having to choose between his faith and his future.

Josh offers a nervous refusal, provoking an irate reaction from his smug professor. Radisson assigns him a daunting task: if Josh will not admit that "God Is Dead," he must prove God’s existence by presenting well-researched, intellectual arguments and evidence over the course of the semester, and engage Radisson in a head-to-head debate in front of the class.

If Josh fails to convince his classmates of God’s existence, he will fail the course and hinder his lofty academic goals. With almost no one in his corner, Josh wonders if he can really fight for what he believes. Can he actually prove the existence of God? Wouldn’t it just be easier just to write "God Is Dead" and put the whole incident behind him?

God's Not Dead weaves together multiple stories of faith, doubt and disbelief, culminating in a dramatic call to action. The film is meant to educate, entertain, and inspire moviegoers to explore what they really believe about God, igniting important conversations and life-changing decisions.

AWESOME MOVIE! by Regina Cox on 9/30/2016

Love this movie! Loved the storyline as well. I had a very similar situation with an instructor in college. For an Astronomy class, I wrote a paper on The Big Bang Theory and what a big lie it is. My Instructor told me that I based my paper on a theory that there is a God and I could not prove His existence. I said, I gave you many examples of proof, but more importantly, prove to me that God does not exist. He did not rise to the challenge. I am just thankful that there are people willing to stand up for the Truth.

Loved it by Tai on 9/25/2016

This movie is well put together. The fact that it is made of real life events doesn't go unnoticed. Many children are facing these issues and I believe this movie is an inspiration to them.

FANTASTIC ! by ICHY7 on 9/22/2016

Our church rented out the new theaters in Altoona for one night to show this film. It was a great film. Wanted it for my collection. Although I do like "Do You Believe" even better.

Love it! Must watch! by Wendi on 9/20/2015

Awesome movie! Ready for part two.

WORTH SEEING... WORTH BUYING by Ann on 12/24/2014

This is a multi-layered story which addresses our need to assess what we believe based on facts and our need to let our convictions be the basis for all of life's choices and decisions. This is a fast-paced, energizing, and encouraging movie. Great acting, music and themes! I bought the Blu Ray / DVD pack so I could keep one & give one... loved this movie & It's a must see especially for anyone attending public schools.

Great concept, horribly written. by Chris on 12/15/2014

The concept of this movie is thought provoking and intriguing. The story line, however, is full of inane concepts, and feeble false doctrines. I only gave this movie merit for it's ability to contain multiple story plots that coincided to link to the main story line. I was sorry I purchased this DVD and wish I could get my money back. You definitely can't judge a DVD by its cover.

I took 10 teenage foster children to see this movie in theaters. They were blown away. It was amazing and gave us some great discussions about God.
