- Honest, open and REAL - that's what the Women of Duck Commander are. by Megan from Ahh~Mazing Reviews on 2/28/2015
I received a copy of this book from Family Christian for review. A positive review was not required; these are my own honest opinions.
I will admit that I was late to the game with the whole Duck Commander thing, but once I arrived I quickly caught up. I fell in love with the entire family and admired their faith and fearlessness of sharing it with the world. The women of Duck Commander have clearly been blessed but it was so nice to read and learn about their background and what formed them into the women that they have become.
The are completely honest, which makes them real. They are not without sin but they love the Lord, have repented, and are living life the way that so many of us should now. The women you will come to know by the way of this book is far beyond the women you know from Duck Commander on TV.
My favorite and most memorable part of this book is Jessica’s recollection of first meeting Jep and how, upon learning that his father was the Duck Commander Phil Robertson, she informed him that the only ducks she knew were Donald and Daffy. What a smile this put on my face when all was said and done. This book would be a fabulous book for a Duck Commander fan.
