How to Think, Act, & Be
THINK. What do I believe?
What you believe drives everything. The way you behave, the habits you form, the character that defines you at your core – all are driven by what you believe. It’s not enough to believe something as the right answer; you must believe it as a way of life. BELIEVE helps you understand the key beliefs of Christianity that, when embraced in the mind and heart, create true change in our individual lives, in the church, and in the world.
ACT. What should I do?
Understanding what you believe is just the beginning. To become like Jesus, your beliefs need to not only inform you but also transform you. It is the practice of reaching up to God and out to others that drive beliefs from your head…to your heart. BELIEVE teaches you the life-giving spiritual disciplines that will lead you in fulfilling your mission to love God and love your neighbor.
BE. Who am I becoming?
Jesus wants us to bear fruit that glorifies God and brings great joy to us and to others. For this to happen, we must remain in Christ. And the longer we remain in community with Christ, the more spiritual fruit, or virtues, we will produce. BELIEVE illuminates the virtues – the outward life changes in us – that are fo

Believe Kids Edition - Think, Act, Be Like Jesus
By: Randy Frazee
I so love the cover to this beautiful book. The picture of Jesus holding out his hand to help you while standing on water is so like Jesus saying I am always here to help you no matter what turbulence you find yourself facing. As I always say most of the covers tell me a story all themselves before I even open the cover to read.
In this beautiful book there are 3 Keys:
1 KEY QUESTION: The key question is the starting place; this is what the chapter will help the reader think about.
2 KEY IDEA: Encourage your child to memorize the key ideas so they can recite what they believe.
3 KEY VERSE: God’s word hidden in young hearts will stick for a life time.
Think About IT: Why this belief is so important.
I find this book is a great book not only for the kids but for a new person starting to learn of Jesus and the Bible also us old folks can learn from this beautifully written book to help us learn in a new way then what we knew of the old ways. The older people will understand what I mean if they were in a church that taught Hell and Damnation more than learning the love Jesus had for us. What a wonderful book this is. The King James is a wonderful bible but a hard one to read (or I felt it is).
This book lets you know the answers to all your questions for your life. It is right here in the bible all you have to do is read the Bible. God wants you to know him and will direct you. This is a very interesting book, very helpful.
I really enjoyed this book and will have it on my desk to grab when I need to refresh my memory. I recommend this book highly.
I received this beautiful book free from Booklook blogger for an honest review I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. The opinions I have expressed are entirely my own and no one else’s.
- Review from Rambles of a SAHM by Fitzysmom on 7/25/2015
In the Preface of the book Randy Frazee begins by telling the story of King Josiah. You'll remember that he was eight years old when he became king. 2 Kings 23:25 says: "There was no king like Josiah either before him or after him. None of them turned to the LORD as he did. He obeyed the LORD with all his heart and all his soul. He obeyed Him with all his strength."
How did Josiah become such a king? It was because he was read the Word of God and he followed it. Isn't that what we want for each of our children, to become well versed in Scripture and to follow the precepts it contains? Believe: Kids' Edition is the perfect start for that lifelong journey.
The book breaks the process down into three sections, THINK: What Do I Believe?, ACT: What Should I Do?, and BE: Who Am I Becoming? Each of these sections use the NIrV edition of the Bible which is designed for a third grade reading level. There are thirty chapters that also correspond with the adult and student editions of this book making it a great tool for weeks of family devotions.
I was very pleased with this simplified version of Believe. I say simplified meaning vocabulary not content. Randy Frazee has been thorough in his covering of the main concepts of Scripture. The discussion questions are a nice touch to make it interactive rather than just a one way teaching from parent to child. Our family was blessed by this resource and I think yours will be too.
I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.
