I must say that I became a fan of Colton Dixon the very first time that he auditioned for Season 10 of American Idol. He was cut and auditioned for Season 11 and made it to top 7. I voted for him each week and was very sad when he was sent home, but I knew that good things would come to him after the season was over. I loved that he wasn't afraid to share his faith with the world. A Messenger is a great record packed with amazing, drop-to-your-knees songs that have you lift your hands in the air and sing along so the whole world can hear the message. My personal faves are You Are, Never Gone, and I'll be the Light, but then again, they are all my faves!! So go and get his music :)

The minute I heard Colton's song on my local Christian radio station, I listened intently. Now, I "hear" things very, very well, and when a song, when heard for the first time, leaves an impression on me, you just know it's good. So, I pumped up my volume every single time Colton's amazing single "You Are" came on with its brilliantly anointed message.

Just today, I made room in my busy day just to buy his album. I was so excited to hear the rest of his songs that when the store seemed like they were out, I was literally about to cry. But it's ok! They had two copies hiding between others. When I got home, I sat down in my living room, and listened to each and every song for 30+ minutes straight.

When the last song finished, I was left with my mouth open. And then I heard his story on American Idol. How he proclaimed his faith without hesitation on national television, and how he humbled himself amongst the other contenders just made this young man seem too good to be true for young adults these days.

May I just say, buy the album, and don't think about your choice for a second. THIS is someone teens should be looking up to. After searching for years in my life for someone who loves God and Jesus as much as I do, I am proud to say I have finally found them. You and your band are truly messengers Colton! May God bless you until your last breath!
