- a great book for you to give a pre-teen or teen girl you love and you could even work through it with them by Rachel on 5/3/2015
Honestly, I do not think the books needs me to say any more than the description and the list of the 10 truths. I think they speak for themselves. Our girls NEED to know these things. These are tings we need to be teaching them from an early age and reinforcing all through the teen years as they learn to stretch their wings and fly the way God intends for each and every one of them. This would be a great book for you to give a pre-teen or teen girl you love and you could even work through it with them - at least be available to talk to them as they learn new things or cover topics they have all ready learned about but are finding new understanding in.
- Great Resource to have around by krystlbear on 1/22/2015
Being a girl is hard. I know it is. I wish I would have had a book like this when I was a teen (or even a pre-teen). Girls can relate to all of these "truths". They go through them daily. They may not think that they do, but they do.
Each chapter in the book is a different truth and it expands on that topic. It uses scripture, gives examples, and has questions pertaining that that particular truth. You will also find some little quizzes about real-life situations.
I have read the book and will be keeping it as a reference. My husband is the youth pastor at our Church and well, the girls come to me with questions. This book is going to come in useful with them, and also with my bonus daughter and any future daughters that we may be blessed with.
- Highly recommend for a girl's small group by Allison Hendrix on 11/12/2014
Both my 12 year old daughter and I loved this book. Several highschool girls are mentoring my 7th grader daughter and her friends through this book. There are discussion questions at the end of each chapter. Kari communicates truth into the reader in a fun and on point manner. She understood what teens are thinking and enters the world. LOVE this book! Great Christmas present too.
